Privacy Policy

BUSTRS (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the BUSTRS fantasy football website and mobile applications (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

BUSTRS is operated by an independent developer, not a company. You can reach us at support@bustrs.com.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, a display name, and a password (stored securely, salted and hashed, by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
• League activity. Data you create by using the Service — leagues, teams, rosters, draft picks, and league chat messages.
• Push notification tokens. If you enable push notifications on the mobile app, we store a device push token so we can deliver draft and scoring alerts. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
• Technical data. Basic technical information such as device type and app version, used to operate and troubleshoot the Service.

We do not collect payment card details, precise location, contacts, photos, or health data.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and leagues.
• To calculate scores, standings, and playoff results.
• To send you Service-related notifications — for example, when it’s your turn to draft, when a draft goes live, or when a week is finalized — by push notification and email.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service Providers

We share information with a small number of trusted providers strictly to run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — web application hosting.
• Expo — delivery of mobile push notifications.
• Our email provider — delivery of transactional emails.

These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound to protect it. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Embedded Content

The BUSTRS Feed on our website may display posts and videos embedded from third-party platforms, currently X (Twitter) and YouTube. When you open a page containing an embed, that content is delivered directly by the platform, exactly as if you had visited their site:

• X (Twitter) — embedded posts load X’s widget script, which can see your IP address, browser details and the page you’re viewing, and may associate that visit with your X account if you are signed in there. See X’s privacy policy.
• YouTube — videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which limits tracking but still delivers the video from Google’s servers. See Google’s privacy policy.

We do not control what these platforms collect, and embeds only load on the feed pages that contain them — nowhere else in the Service. The mobile app never loads third-party embed scripts; it opens links in your browser instead.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information — your email address, display name and profile picture — and you can no longer sign in.

Your league participation is retained in anonymised form. Fantasy leagues are shared records: your past drafts, rosters, weekly scores and chat messages are part of other members’ season history, and removing them would alter standings and results for people who did not delete their accounts. These records remain, attributed to “Former member” rather than to you. If you were a league commissioner, the league is passed to its longest-standing remaining member; if you were its only member, the league is deleted along with your account.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access or update your account information from within the Service.
• Turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Delete your account at any time — in the app under Account → Delete my account, or on the web at /delete-account. See Data Retention above for what this removes and what remains.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us at the address below.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
